To place a Domestic order: Simply
phone or mail your order to our store nearest you. Experienced classic parts
specialists will handle your order and provide assistance. Be sure to supply
us with our item numbers for faster order handling. Some items are ordered
by description alone (i.e., upholstery) in which case we�ll need the year,
color and bodystyle of your car. Phone orders may be paid by VISA, MasterCard,
Discover, AMEX, or Western Union "Quick Collect". Mail orders may
be paid by VISA, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX or Western Union "Quick
Collect" or Postal money order. Personal checks, money orders and cashiers
checks may delay your order 2-3 weeks. Foreign orders:(outside the territorial
U.S. or Canada) Contact our Foreign Order Desk at our Florida Depot or use
our International
Order form.
Domestic Shipping charges: Orders
over $300.00 and destined within the lower 48 states: We pay the
UPS ground shipping charges.(Western Union fee not included; core charges
do not count towards free shipping minimum.) Items
that are UPS oversize 1 or oversize 2 are charged at a rate of $12.00 per
item and are not included in the free shipping offer.
Orders below $300.00 and destined within
the lower 48 states: Florida, California, Michigan
or North Carolina residents add 5%, but not less than our $8.00 minimum.
Residents of all other states add 10%, but not less than our $8.00 minimum.
Do not include core charges when calculating shipping charge. Oversized
shipments will be subject to an additional $12.00 fee.
Orders destined outside the lower 48
states: We will charge the actual cost of shipping
your order. The $300.00 free shipping policy does not apply.
Orders destined for Canada: Add
20% for shipping but not less than $15.00 for minimum shipping. Oversized
items will be subject to an additional $12.00 per item. The $300.00
free shipping policy does not apply. US funds only.
Items too large for UPS such as
hoods or fenders, will be shipped by a LTL Carrier. Call the NPD location
nearest to you fro the best frieght quote.
Optional shipping methods: UPS
3 Day Guaranteed Ground, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air, FedEx and parcel post
shipping is available at actual cost. Rates vary according to weight.
Paying by Western Union "Quick
Collect": This convenient new payment method
eliminates the unpopular hassles of C.O.D. transactions. No more waiting
in long bank lines for cashiers checks, hanging around the house to meet
UPS drivers, or paying multiple COD charges for multi-box orders. How does
Quick Collect work? When you place your order by phone, fax or mail, an NPD
sales representative will provide you with a total amount due, a city code
number and our invoice number. Go to your nearest Western Union outlet (They're
everywhere! Call 800-325-6000 for the one nearest you) and complete a "Blue
Quick Collect"form, completing the required information, along with
the numbers we provide. You'll pay for your entire order right there in cash,
and Western Union will charge an additional $12.95. Shortly afterward, a
check for your order will be printed out at our office, and your shipment
will be on its way.
Domestic Backorders: We
attempt to fill every order within 24-hours, but if an item is out of stock
it will be placed on our backorder service and shipped as soon as possible.
Most customers prefer to pay for backordered items at the time the order
is initially processed, however, if you do not wish to pay for backordered
items until they are shipped, or you wish to cancel an existing backorder
to receive a refund, simply advise your salesperson.
Catalog pricing: All
prices current as of the first printing of this edition. Prices, stated suppliers
or stated manufacturers are subject to change without notice.
Refused shipments: Shipping
and other costs incurred by NPD while attempting to deliver merchandise which
is refused will be billed to the customer at the actual cost.
Store hours: All
NPD Toll-free order lines are open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Our walk-in
counters are open Mon-Fri 8am-9pm; Sat & Sun 8am-5pm. We are closed for
the observance of New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving,
Christmas.
Items Damaged in transit are the responsibility
of the carrier. Please retain all packing materials and immediately contact
the carrier (i.e., UPS, U.S. Postal Service, truck line) to file a damage claim. Please
do not return damaged items to NPD. We will, however, be happy to assist
you in filing your claim with the carrier.
General policy on core returns:
- Returned core must be rebuild-able.
- No broken or missing parts, cracked cases, deeply grooved
surfaces etc.
- Moveable items must not be frozen, locked or rusted
solid.
- No case with torch cuts.
- No welded or bent shafts, ears etc.
- Shafts, splines, keyways & threads must be good.
- No disassembled cores accepted.
- Returned core must be same part as rebuilt unit purchased.
- Returned core should be returned in same box as rebuilt
unit purchased.
- Core return-ability will be determined by the re-manufacturer
and/or NPD.
Returns-our guarantee: If
you are dissatisfied with an item, please contact the salesperson listed
on your invoice to obtain return authorization. Missing or damaged items
must be reported within 24 hours of delivery . After speaking with our agent,
we request that you also enclose a brief note describing the problem with
the returned merchandise. We will accept the return of any unsatisfactory
item provided it is unused, in resalable condition and returned with a copy
of your invoice within 30 days of the invoice date. Return of items ordered
in error may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please do not return merchandise
to us C.O.D. or postage due. Electrical parts, stripes, literature and videos
are not returnable. If NPD is at fault in any way we will promptly refund
your return freight charges. NPD is NOT responsible for air-freight charges
or boxing/packing services. Only UPS ground rates apply.
