Description

Replacement. Valve to cylinder. Zinc fittings and lines. This replacement hose is a generic fit to replace both cylinder hoses. As with original hoses they are a tight fit and installation is easier if the cylinder is hanging loose, disconnected from the frame mount. Install all ends loose, cylinder first then the valve ends. Once the cylinder is reinstalled and with everything in position then tighten all fittings.

Notes: 1)Replacement hoses are generic fit hoses designed to fit several applications. What you usually see are hoses that may be longer than the original. After installation check for any possible interference and retain as required.
2)You must flush the PS system anytime components are replaced to eliminate any contamination and to validate manufacturers warranties.
3)We highly recommend to use of Motorcraft type “F” transmission fluid (19582-2) in the Ford P/S system for proper operation and longer life of the components.

Power Steering Cylinder Hose

These hoses will not work on my '68. The metal parts are to long and angled wrong, they won't fit. To make it worse, 2 hoses with the same part number are not the same! They get 1 star because I can't do no stars.

These are replacements that we have sold for years.  I have installed them myself on a couple of occasions over the years. It is easier to install the RAM cylinder hoses, whether original or replacement, with the cylinder disconnected from the frame.  Install the cylinder ends first then contort them to the valve.  All fittings being loose to allow for movement.  Once all the hoses are installed, then reassemble the cylinder to the frame.  With everything in position then tighten the fittings.  This process is the same for original hoses or the replacements.  They are all a tight fit and new hoses require a bit of twisting and contorting to get them in the right position.  The replacements just require a bit more. It’s all in how they are twisted, that’s why they must be assembled loosely. If the two hoses received were DIFFERENT, then a call should have been made to us immediately.

These are really not a good fit at all. Poor quality also. Spring for the step above. Don't make the mistake I did and have to buy both.
