I stockpiled most of my sheet metal pre-pandemic, so I am uncertain if the tooling has changed, per reviewer's on certain parts...21 gauge, improved fender worked out nicely on the ground-up restoration for my late-'66 coupe. The guys at the auto body shop lightly sanded the upper body line(s), thus sharpening the fenders edge to match the contours / body line of the original doors. The project and look turned out very well.
