FITTING, Brass, Straight, 3/16 inch tube (3/8 inch-24 inverted flare thread) Inverted flare seat on male and female ends, Until early in 1966 the original master cylinders did not have an inverted flare seat machined into the cylinder and instead used a brass fitting to mount between the brake hard line and the master cylinder, Early in 1966 the master cylinders were changed to incorporate the flare seat into the cylinder, All subsequent master cylinders and replacement master cylinders were made with the flare as part of the cylinder, To be concours correct the brass fitting is required, This custom brass fitting has been made to fit the later master cylinders and give them the required fitting for an original concours appearance, Fits 2140-1B, An NPD exclusive reproduction!
