The factory gauge in my 1986 C30 Custom would randomly go to 1/4-1/2 tank despite checking everything (resistor on back of gauge, the sending unit resistance, the circuit, etc.) and when it did work the gauge responded erratically to fuel sloshing in the tank. The exact replica gauge for my truck was sold out everywhere so I settled on this. This thing works great. Operates smoothly and I am guessing the gauge uses newer technology as the 'resistor' on the back of the gauge is just a plastic tab/spacer. I am hopeful that bodes well for this gauge being reliable over the long term. Thanks NPD for the good price and the fast shipping. Keep up the good work.
