We completely understand your concern. Please be advised that 1. The grilles are made in Taiwan, which is a huge difference in quality/ethics compared to communist China. 2. The chrome is properly done, triple-plated. 3. Yes, they are expensive, but that is because the tooling to produce a complex grille like this is mind-bogglingly expensive, and that has to get amortized into the cost. 4. If there's any further comfort, the quality of the chrome and overall aesthetic quality of NOS (original Ford) grilles is absolutely abysmal compared to this repro. Ford never built parts for show cars, and it shows.. LOL.. I hope this helps better paint the picture!!
