I purchased a lower steering column cover for a 1969 mach 1 to replace an original one that had a broken tab. Although I didn’t need the grommet I went ahead and bought one just to freshen everything up since I had them off. My original grommet sort of resembles the pointy end of an egg shape at the top compared to the repro that resembles the bottom of the egg. It’s a nice looking part but I ended up cleaning my original and putting it back on the car. If I didn’t have one at all or if my car wasn’t as original as it is then I might would have used it.

Connector does not stay connected. It seems that it needs to be a touch bigger

This steering shilf grommet does not and will not fit properly on an IDIDIT tilt column! It leaves a big gap on the bottom of the shilf. Thanks
