Much more steady than the weak original hinges, yes they are slightly thicker, but it's the price to pay for a hoid that closes properly and the back of the hood stays level with the cowl. My original hinges would pop up about 1/2 inch in the rear of hood.

Its much heavier built than the stock hinges. The rivets are larger than stock, but so is the overall metal used.

One of the best reproduction items. They really came up w/ a good idea to upgrade the thickness of steel. Worth every penny. *may require some trimming at the top of the base. Had trouble getting hood to close properly on 69 & 70's
