This unit is designed to be an exact reproduction of the original unit! They are made from a ABS plastic housing comes in a factory Smoke gray color that can be painted to match any interior color. Dielectric grease has been added to the internal switch contacts to prevent corrosion (which is the reason most originals do not work). This unit includes not only the base and the chrome arms assembly but also high quality LED (5 SMD) bulb that is approximately 4 times brighter then original bulbs. So if you are looking to get your map light back in working order this is the all in one unit for you!
Restoration Note: Ford listings show that in 1991 there is a change over from this style Map light to the bug eyed style used. The date of change over is 2/26/1992. Check your application before ordering. If you need the later style see M-13776-35 for some of the last remaining NOS ones!

The map/dome light is better than it was in 1988, Truly Awesome!!! Little pricey, but worth it
