As received, this item could not be used as the piston bore was not machined properly. The bore was only machined about half way, thus the plastic tip on the pushrod became stuck at the end of the machined portion, thus the pushrod from the pedal could not seat properly. The result eas a pedal with NO free travel that could barely move an inch. The master cylinder had to be rebuilt with a new piston before it could be used. Fortunately, NPD DID provide a rebuild kit when advised of the situation. Master Cylinder DOES work properly after having been rebuilt.
