MIRROR ASSY, REAR VIEW INSIDE, DAY / NIGHT, INCL SET SCREW, EXACT REPRO E5FZ-17700-A
These reproduction units are based off the original E5FZ-17700-A Ford part number. These units are the Smaller 8 1/4 style mirrors that still featured the set screw mounting. They are correct for all 1984-91 models from 4/84 but will work on all 1979-93 Mustangs when using the proper mounting bracket.
Restoration Note: Ford Listings show that the E2FZ-17700-A part number was superseded by the E5FZ-17700-A part number. This suppression changed the mirror size from the original 10 mirror used on 81-84 models before 4/84 to the new smaller 8 1/4 style used from 4/84 until 1991. If you are looking for the 10 version Ford offers a replacement version of the 10 under NPD part number 17700-5.
Installation Note: There are two different style mirror mounting brackets used between 1979-93. The 1979-91 before 4/91 style uses a set screw style where the 1991-93 from 4/91 style uses a clip on style. The M-17700-1A unit is designed for the set screw style mounting and requires 17698-2 bracket.
