I originally bought hardware store grade 8 fine thread bolts/nuts but they stripped before reaching the "minimum" 35lbs torque called out by the Ford Shop Manual. Grade 8 of the proper size is supposed to be rated to 50lbs of torque-not so! Used 3 different torque wrenches with the same result. I then purchased this kit from NPD and they torqued to 40lbs with no issues. These are the real deal.
