I ordered new bolts for the thermostat housing on my 67 200 Mustang The bolt was 1/4” longer than the one removed. I added a split washer. They were not grade 5 bolts. When installing the left sided bolt with a standard 3/8 socket, it snapped! Now I have a major headache trying to extract the bolt.
