EXHAUST KIT, CAT BACK, INTERCEPTOR STYLE, MRT ENGINEERING, 2 1/2 INCH T304 STAINLESS STEEL TUBING, W/ 3 1/2 INCH POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL TURN DOWN STYLE TIPS, INCL MRT INTERCEPTOR MUFFLERS, INCL ALL MOUNTING HARDWARE
The Mustang V8 MRT Interceptor Cat-Back system with turn-down tips has a loud, deep muscle car sound and is handcrafted in corrosion-resistant T304 Stainless Steel. This systems include T304 polished SS 3.5" tips and 2.5" mandrel-bent tube. This system is engineered for the best sound to match your vehicle and provides increased performance from the increased exhaust flow.
The MRT Interceptor is louder than the ChamberFlow. With the Interceptor system you will experience a louder exhaust note during all rev cycles...idle, acceleration, steady-state, and deceleration. It has just enough exhaust presence with elevated sound to Get Noticed, Feel the Performance note, and packaged in a design without an excessive drone. How does one decide between the two? -- If you want loud to be always ON, choose this Interceptor system. If you want to capture that "true" old-school sound of the original Fox GT, the Chamberlow system (M-5211-2MRT) is the one for you. This exhaust system is only compatible with an MRT MaxFlow H-pipe (M-5F250-12MRT or M-5F250-12MRTC) or some custom fabrication will be required.
1987 thru 1993 Mustang GT V8 models.
