If you are looking for original Carlite glass for your 1979-1993 Coupe or Hatchback Foxbody Mustang well NPD has you covered. This Original Carlite front windshield is based off the original F0ZZ-6103100-A part number or W1095 NAGS number that was used from 1990 thru 1993. This Carlite glass features the correct black band with dot pattern at the lower section as well as the correct CARLITE script in the bottom center like original. This glass also features the mirror mounting bracket pre installed for an easy install. Restoration Notes:
This glass is listed as a replacement style for any Coupe or Hatchback pre 7/90 due to many different visual changes as well as mirror mounting bracket changes. See notes below for more info.
A: 1979 thru 1986 models did not feature a black band around the entire front windshield. They only had a sold black band at the lower section close to the cowl. They also did not feature the lower dot pattern. The dot pattern and black band was not introduced until 1987 model years. This glass would be a Carlite replacement style for your year Foxbody
B: The 1979 thru 1986 models featured a mirror bracket that required a set screw for proper mirror mounting. The clip on style mirror was not introduced until 1991. You will need to use a later style mirror or change the mounting bracket.
C: 1987 thru 1990 before 7/90 did feature the correct black band around the entire glass as well as the correct lower dot pattern but still used the set screws style mirror mounting bracket. This Carlite glass visually should look just like a OE style glass that was used in your year Foxbody. You will need to use a later style mirror or change the mounting bracket.
D: This glass from 1991 thru 1993 from 7/90 is correct in all features. The mirror mounting bracket is the correct clip on style that Ford went to after 1990 as well as the correct band and pattern. This is a OE correct style for your year Foxbody.
