steel ring are a mess . they are install backwards being that they are not even fully stamped down into place.one half in place and one half falling out of the hole. next the clip mounting tab is falling off panel board being that they are poorly glued on ,then the outer material has been cut off to short,there not enough material so not able to wrap on to window edges,

very disappointed with this item being that it is being sold by Scott Drake ,item actual is made by distinctive industries and they have done a very sloppy job , the statement say it made right is way off base!!

I don't know why I didn't know about this place sooner. No other company sells sail panels like these and they are so easy to install, NPD always ships fast and I know I can order and forget about it, because they take good care of their customers.

Really nice panels. The metal snap ring is just like the original. The little piece of cardboard for the door panel clip wasn’t glued on very well. I ended up glueing on the one from my original panels with a hot glue gun. After that, The sail panels snapped in perfectly.

I ordered these along with another set from a different manufacturer. I ended up using these (From NPD) because of the metal rings for easy 'dome' light insertion. Compared to previous reviews they must have upgraded the glue or process, or I got lucky, because I could find nothing wrong with these. Look and fit great w/o ANY modification. The backing material is different from original, but no one sees that part, and my originals were cracked and warped, so I had to go new. Thanks!

I'm sort of pissed about the response when I called the manufacture regarding pieces to these panels I've never seen. First, I've replace similar sail panels three other times (from another vendor) and every time they sucked! Then, when I saw these with metal rings, I knew they were what I wanted for sure. When I got them, I noticed a couple of leather looking straps on the back which I didn't know how to use them in order to install them correctly (?). I called you guys to clarify but you pointed me to the manufacture. They didn't answer their phone so I left a message. When they returned my phone call, their attitude was "I don't know what your talking about (leather straps on the back) so I don't know how to answer your question." What sort of response is that?! I spent MORE MONEY on something and if the manufacture didn't know what I was talking about, then they have poor management there and need to hire someone else (Scott Drake?). I mean really! The best they could have done is to reply to my email or to keep calling me back so they could speak to me personally. That shouldn't be asking too much for what I paid for these things. After all, I did take out my back glass on my 69 just to put these things in and I had to replace the window weather stripping ($$) again! This is why people quit restoring cars.

Leather strap? Paper to paper glue that pulls apart. If these are the best out there we're in trouble. Clip pulled the paper to paper glue apart. The metal ring was oval shaped and I had to really work to get the light in without stretching the cloth loose. I drilled a hole and used a trim screw to hold in place. Looks good, but I'll keep my eyes out for another set.
