These units were Originally used on police cars & 1993 Cobras to reduce volume and pressure to prevent heater core blow outs and leaks. Recommended for all 1979-93 V8?

I bought two of these, one for my '79 Pace car (V8) and one for my '93 GT convertible. The included instructions indicate where to install this on the later fuel injected engines, but not for the earlier carbureted engines. I am still not sure where to install this on my '79 Pace Car. Further research needed on this.
