I used this product on a molded hood insulation. It was difficult to get the fasteners lined up in the insulation (I was doing it with the hood on the car) . Ruined enough of them that I had to order more. Still haven’t had a chance to finish . Should be easier to install with the hood off. The ends of the clips should be longer.
