These performance rear axle kits are made from high tensile strength 4340 Chromoly that contains significantly more manganese than 1040 steel found in your stock axles. This increases ductility and translates the ability to absorb stresses. They are then heat-treated, tempered and induction hardened to produce these heavy-duty axles that are up to 40% stronger. They use the latest cold spline rolling technology to produce splines that are stronger than traditional cut splines. The shafts are then precision CNC machined and magnaflux inspected for cracks before receiving a slick black anodized or natural finish. Our rear axle shaft kits include everything you need for your installation: both passenger and drive side shafts, seals, bearings and wheel studs./P>
Note:
28 spline units are designed to be used with stock differential units. 31 spline units require a different differential unit the excepts 31 spline axle shaft.

NPD store staff in Canton, Michigan are ABSOLUTELY professional and efficient. Have yet to install. Had a minor miscommunication with staff at the NPD location in Canton, Michigan and ended up getting the 5 lug 28 spline axle set when I needed the 31 spline. They exchanged the axles without hesitation.. Great experience.
