This is a completely new steel skeleton and body, and includes the following parts: dash, roof skin, drip rails and headliner bows, quarter panels, rear deck filler panel, tail light panel and rear frame rails installed, plus hinged and fitted door shells and trunk lid. Constructed with 18 gauge steel parts and featuring 25 percent more spot welds than GM originally used, shells are more structurally sound than anything produced in the 1960s. GM officially licensed product.
No-cost shell options include: spoiler holes pre-drilled in the trunk lid, Rally Sport back-up light cutouts, and a firewall with cutouts for an A/C evaporator or heater case, or a heater-delete firewall for a custom look. You can also option a shell with deep wheel tubs (allowing up to a 335 mm tire to fit) for an additional charge. Shells are built to order, with 30-90 day lead times depending on manufacturer workload and added options (contact NPD via e-mail or phone for an exact time quote). To initiate a build, a 50% deposit is required on your first invoice. When the body shell is within 10 days of completion and shipping, the balance for the shell and shipping is required.
Shells do not include: front sub frame, suspension, front-end sheet metal, wheels or wiring. 750 pound shipping weight, ships by truck freight.
