I am surprised by this review, because there is no such thing as “more detail” than a factory shop manual, combined with the factory parts and illustration texts. Any aftermarket alternative would be a step in the opposite direction.
These
manuals are absolutely essential for restoring your Cougar, with torque
patterns, specs, step-by-step procedures, etc…
If you
are wanting more detail as it pertains to assembly, I would
suggest adding the array of Factory Assembly Manuals to your library (body,
interior, electrical and chassis are available for 1968). But bear in mind,
these manuals are a valuable additional resource, but do not replace the
absolute-need to have a proper shop manual, which you already have.
