The original sound deadner for a convertible was fiberglass insulation. The picture does specify what the material is. It is a sound deadner like what goes on your floor pans. The butyl/tar stuff. I may send this back.

Gimmick! This stuff is absolute garbage. No instructions as to what side (rough or smooth) should be glued to the panel. Looking back, the original material that came with the car was in good condition -- don't be fooled that this product is the latest & the greatest.

Like the other 1 star user said..."Absolute garbage." Ended up reusing the original Mole Hair piece, even though it was slightly water damaged over the years. Or one can simply order something similar to the original style "mole hair" through NPD and custom cut to correct size -- Anything is better than this aftermarket stuff.
