Bolts in speaker mount do not line up with holes. Speaker bracket must be drilled to attach to console and speakers are too deep to fit in 1979 Trans Am with A/C although listing says they fit with or without A/C. Speakers will fit with modifications and removal of center A/C duct.

Perfect Fit for 1970 Camaro RS/SS. You WILL have to drill a hole in the metal mounting bracket, as it is made to fit many different GM cars, so the part where it gets bolted is blank and needs to be marked and drilled. Excellent sound quality, I played Roy Orbison through this and it sounds just as good as any modern speaker setup should. Just dont expect the surround sound you get with 4-speaker setups, you will need to add 2 additional speakers to the rear for the full effect, but this is MILES ahead in quality from the stock mono speaker.

The fit was perfect. I had to drill the hole for the mounting bracket to the support under the dash. I also had to widen the slot where the speaker mounts to the bracket to fit better. I also added a piece of 1/4 inch piece of weather strip around the entire outer edge just to cure any vibration that might occur later. Very satisfied with the product though.
