These OEM units were a perfect fit to replace the deteriorated rubber/plastic on my trunk springs. I purchased 3 of these and nearly all of them had coating/paint issues. Essentially, the black coating/paint on the springs was missing in certainly places. To avoid future rust issues I had to paint portions of the springs before install. For the cost of these products I should have not had to correct defects in the coating/paint.

Has an extra coil of spring compared to the original on my 1994, but fits and functions perfectly. Wouldn't know the difference if you didn't have them side by side.

One day I opened my trunk and saw that the rubber on the bottom side of the spring was laying there in a million pieces. These factory Ford spring assemblies brought it back to new again. I would have actually purchased Daniel Carpenter's trunk springs if I knew he made them at the time. Either way, it's now fixed!
