I used this tool I used to use a hammer and Screwdriver and it was a pain in the butt to get the lock ring started under the 3 tabs with this tool you just push down on the handle and turn the wrench part doesn't fit perfect but it fit good enough to catch the 3 tabs and turn them in it worked great

This is a must have tool if your installing or removing a fuel sender unit in your gas tank, it will save you a lot of time and aggravation when trying to remove or install the sending unit lock ring.
