A simple tool to compress the parking brake cable retainer clip from the backing plate. Very easy to use and makes an annoying task very easy. You could probably fabricate this tool, but why bother?

Well made but didn't work for my specific brake cable. To small for 1966 parking brake removal. Had to cut the cable.

This tool is a great idea but doesn’t fit the stock Mustang parking brake. You have to get a large heavy duty drill bit or grind it out to the right size. I. The end I just used vise grips to work the brake out.
