This panel fit perfectly. No adjustment needed. The spot welds need to be filled and smoothed.

Originally, from the factory, the spot welds on the Ford
valances showed-through (to varying degrees), and Ford never made any attempt
to fill or smooth. Just a little “concours” hint, the welds are technically
correct. But if you’re doing a restomod, or just wanting things to look slick, we totally understand smoothing them over.
