VALVE ASSY, FUEL VAPOR, W/ ID CODE *F8DC-9B593-AC*, ORIGINAL F8DZ-9B593-AB
There are two valve assemblies located on the top side of the factory 2000-2004 SN95 Mustang fuel tank. This unit is the Fuel vapor valve assembly and is the smaller of the two valves. This units features the original Ford part number F8DZ-9B593-AB with and ID code of F8DC-9B593-AC located on the unit. These fuel vapor valves are designed to vent the fuel vapor to the factory charcoal / carbon canister. This valve is designed to not allow fluid or liquid to pass thru to the canister but still allow for proper fuel tank vapor release.
These unit were offered by Ford as serviceable part and did not need to be purchased with the complete line assembly. See M-9B076-101 or 101A for proper fuel tank to valve seal. Ford recommends replacing the seal when servicing this valve.
