This axle girdle cover kit features the Ford Performance part number M-4033-G2 and is designed to be a direct fit for your 1986 thru 2014 Mustang with a 8.8 inch rear axle. This unit is made from light weight 356T6 aluminum casting and features the Ford Racing logo etched into the machined face. It is designed to be a direct replacement for your factory 8.8 rear cover and includes new gasket, mounting hardware and installation instructions. The low profile design also allows this unit to fit all 2005-2014 Mustang GT and 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 Mustang except 2013-2014 track pack options. The load bolts provide additional support for differential bearing caps as well as increase ring and pinion gear life. So, if you are looking to increase the stiffness and durability of your rear axle housing or are looking to replace the old original steel unit with something a little nicer look at picking up one of these units from NPD today!
Installation Note:
Please check exterior clearance to chassis and suspension. This unit will not fit 8.8 IRS rear suspension. See NPD part number M-4033-125G for correct 99-04 Cobra IRS Axle Girdle cover.
If you are looking to take you your stiffness and durability to the next level look at picking up an ARP rear differentail cover bolt kit from NPD. See part number M-4346-3ARP (2 kits will be required).
Draining the rear differential will be required when installing this new Ford Performance unit. NPD offers a full line of high quality Motorcraft gear oil as well as the correct friction modifier need to get you back on the road.
Note:
This unit features both a fill and drain plug to help with easy fluid change when needed.
