This axle girdle cover kit features the Ford Performance part number M-4033-G3 and is designed to be a direct fit for your 1999 thru 2004 Mustang Cobra with a 8.8 inch IRS rear axle. This unit is made from light weight 356T6 aluminum casting and features the Ford Racing logo etched into the machined face. It is designed to be a direct replacement for your factory 8.8 rear cover and includes mounting hardware and installation instructions. The load bolts provide additional support for differential bearing caps as well as increase ring and pinion gear life. So, if you are looking to increase the stiffness and durability of your rear axle housing or are looking to replace the old original steel unit with something a little nicer look at picking up one of these units from NPD today!
Installation Note:
Please check exterior clearance to chassis and suspension. This unit may require additional clearance due to aftermarket bushings and suspension. Check you application be installation.
Draining the rear differential will be required when installing this new Ford Performance unit. NPD offers a full line of high quality Motorcraft gear oil as well as the correct friction modifier need to get you back on the road.
Note:
This unit features both a fill and drain plug to help with easy fluid change when needed.
This unit is designed does not included or use a factory style gasket. This unit according to Ford is designed to be used with silicone gasket maker. See NPD part numbers F-19562-1 or 910-7
