This ‘70 GTO Medium red’ color is was a very good match for my late build 1981 Firebird / Trans-am ‘Medium Red’ (75B) interior hard plastic pieces. Some places list ‘75B’ color code as Firethorn. I tested many colors, Firethorn was too orange. For the darker dash, console, and rear package shelf I found SEM ‘Napa Red’ was the best match.

Great match! NPD’s C-VP71827 was a great match for my 1981 Pontiac Trans-am ‘75B‘Medium Red interior hard plastics. Compared many colors to original parts before finding this “1970” year medium red was the best match. Used with SEM 13023 Low Luster clear. The only negative is the same for any interior dye I’ve tried on hard plastics…It’s tough to get a good bond with the surface. You may need to try different prep processes. Even using adhesion promoter sometimes it wont stick. Trial and error depending on part being painted has been my experience with any/all products on this type project.
