Needed this for a silicone radiator hose adapted to my T Bucket. NAPA doesn't sell these and neither does any national chain. It worked as it should... no more collapsed hose.

There's debate as to whether or not these are necessary but it won't hurt and it's good insurance so I choose to use them.

small cheap part that is VERY necessary for a rebuilt engine if you want it to live, if you are using formed hoses.

Just the right gage wire for the job. And what a job it was, trying to insert that thing into a formed bottom hose! Still, now that hose won't collapse from the suction of the pump. PS - When did they stop making these hoses without an internal support spring? I've been wrenching on cars for over 45 years, and this is a "first" for me! And the hose was a "Dayco" too; that name used to stand for quality, Probably Chinese-made junk, now -- out of curiosity, I should check the label.
