MONTE CARLO BAR, straight, black painted, BEST repro, US-made, The Monte Carlo bar was originally added to the Monte Carlo raced Falcons and later the 1964 Monte Carlo Mustangs to further reinforce the shock towers by triangulating the support in conjunction with the one piece export brace, The bar keeps the shock towers from collapsing inward and keeps camber adjustments more consistent, When you install this bar you may notice that the bar will not fit in between the aprons, This is due to the shock tower and aprons flexing inward, It may be necessary to spread the shock towers outward to fit the brace and return the towers to their original designed position, Make sure to check your front end alignment after installation, Each side bracket has 4 mounting holes, 3 of which are existing holes, Correct original 40 1/8 inch dimension between brackets, 12 gauge plate thickness, 1 inch O.D. tube with .110 inch tubing wall thickness, 4 lb actual weight, This is the most robust Monte Carlo bar made! Did not match description. Only measured 40" and plates were 0.100". They sent me another one and it was wrong too. I think these were mislabeled and NPD could not find the correct part.
