This front fender lower shim set from National Parts Depot has been a must needed part in restoration of your 1979 thru 1993 Foxbody Mustang. If your Foxbody has been in a front end collision or if your are looking to replace your front fender with new reproduction or used original units picking up one of these shim sets will get you started in the right direction. This kit includes (2) 1/8 thin shims and (2) 3/16 thick shims to allow for proper lower fender to door alignment. Each shim is designed exactly like the original three hole units and are black EDP coated. Restoration Note:
The original part number listed in the Ford illustration parts books is a N804532-S but they do not show up in any of the original listings. NPD has research these shim and has found that the main two thickness versions are the 1/8 and the 3/16 style. These are the most common versions used on Foxbody Mustangs. They featured rectangle design with a three hole center. These new reproduction units are designed to be just like the original units.
Installation Note:
This set of shims form NPD is designed to include enough shims to do both RH and LH side fenders. A combination of these shims should allow proper alignment of both your front fenders. In some cases due to front end collisions a second set of shims may be need to help ensure proper alignment.
Note:
In some cases these shims have been painted body color. If so the EDP coating will need to be properly prepped before painting.
