Classic Auto Air's ultra high-performance engine compartment upgrade kit makes it easy for even the novice to upgrade and convert the factory air-conditioning to the more modern 134a refrigerant. This simple and easy to install kit combines the time-tested reliability of the Sanden compressor with there exclusive parallel-flow direct fit condenser, and replaces all except for one of the unreliable spring-lock hose connections with standard O-ring connections. All hoses are pre-made to fit and require no cutting or crimping during installation. These kits from Classic Auto Air are offered in two version and Standard or Deluxe kit to fit your budget needs.
These kits are designed that if you typically do your own repair work on your mustang then this can be installed with tools found in most Mustang garages. However, evacuating and charging the system should be performed by a licensed professional.
Standard:Each standard kit includes a new Sanden compressor, new accumulator, all new hoses and lines, new orifice tube, new pressure switch, Classic Auto Air's exclusive direct-fit parallel flow condenser, new compressor mount adapter brackets and new serpentine belt. In other words, it includes everything that contains refrigerant within the system except for the evaporator coil.
Deluxe:These deluxe kits include everything the standard kit includes plus a better than OE evaporator core that converts everything over to O-ring connections vs. the standard spring lock design. By doing so this replaces everything in the factory Mustangs A/C system both inside and out.
If using the Standard Mustang A/C system kit flushing the factory evaporator core is required.
